The Minimalist Cooking - 27 Practical Recipes book is something a little different and can be divided into two parts, the recipes and the philosophy.
The recipes cover all the main bases and include breads, veggies, main courses, pasta dishes, skillet suppers, main course salads and, of course, desserts. Each section contains between four and eight recipes. Meg's choices of recipes are not random but are intended to provide a really solid base for future experimentation by the reader.
The philosophy comes in a self contained introductory essay that may just change the relationship you have with your your kitchen forever!
Meg has cooked since she was very young and even built her own commercial kitchen from the ground up. All of these recipes were developed by her to provide nutritional, simple and cost effective food to her clients and to her family.
The book contains photographs of all the recipes and are all of the dishes as they were being tested for this book. Follow Meg's recipes and this is what the end results will look like. Meg's husband and photographer, Steve Johnson is responsible for both the photography and the book design.
